I have to say that generally I don’t bother with fan art, most of it’s fairly poor quality, but I was reading part of a write-up by Melissa Anelli over at the Leaky Cauldron did about the day she interviewed JK Rowling and it mentioned that Rowling had a print-out of a picture by Marta that they’d sent over for her last birthday (they do it every year apparently). Anyway, I figured it might be worth a look so I tracked down Marta’s site, and, wow. The image above is just one of many, most related to scenes in the books with the appropriate lines quoted.
The only downside is that navigating through the images isn’t very easy, but it’s well worth persevering. Also, for some reason the navigation bar doesn’t seem to work from the home page, but is fine for the other pages. Here’s a link to the Book 6 section in case you get stuck.
