In a recent article by The Guardian, they state that Harry Potter fans indulging in ’set-jetting,’ the practice of visiting places that have been featured on film, have increased tourism in the UK by as much as 16% in some places. Northumberland, home to Alnwick Castle, the real world location for Hogwarts, has seen a huge increase in visitors. Other Potter locations include: King’s Cross station, London Zoo, the Bodleian Library in Oxford, Durham Cathedral, Gloucester Cathedral and Goathland station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
