In a recent survey conducted by the UK’s Sci Fi Channel, Harry Potter was voted as the top screen fantasy hero, beating the likes of the T-101 Terminator and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now, it doesn’t say what age ranges the survey covered, but I suspect it was his popularity with the younger crowd that won him the trophy.
In other Potter news, Daniel Radcliffe has admitted to having a bit of a crush on Emma Watson when they first met, but not now, describing her sort of a sister.
And, as an aside, I didn’t realise that Goblet of Fire will have a runtime that is shorter than Chamber of Secrets, by three minutes, bringing it in at 2 hours and 37 minutes, which seems odd when you consider how much longer GoF is than its predecessors.
