There was a story recently that the Ford Anglia used in the film version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets had been stolen, despite the fact that the ignition keys had been lost and the engine had stopped working (which basically makes it a very large, powder blue paperweight). The thing that caught my eye was that the company who bought it only paid £1300 for it, that seems fairly low to me, I’m sure they could have auctioned it to fans for much more. Mind you, knowing a little about the film-making process, there was probably more than one vehicle used.
Update: I just found the picture below, maybe that explains why it was only £1300.
