In an effort to raise the profile of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in China, Warner Bros. have sent Katie Leung over to do a press tour. It sounds like she’s going down rather well. Leung, whose parents left Hong Kong before she was born, said that she thinks “everybody here is proud of me. I’m Chinese and I think my trip here will be good for the film.”
The film had taken $5.1m by 22nd November, confortably up on the $4.7m Prisoner of Azkaban made. The challenge in the Chinese market it seems is getting people to go to the cinema rather than buying cheap pirate DVDs for a quarter of the ticket price.
