It looks like Daniel Radcliffe is keen not to get shouldered with the Harry Potter mantle forever (maybe Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, can give him some tips) and is spreading out a bit now school is behind him. Apart from appearing on stage, he’s also trying other movie roles. December Boys is one of these, with Radcliffe playing an orphan (hang on, that sounds familiar, does he have a scar?), too old to be adopted it seems, who, along with some other boys with little to look forward to, get treated to a trip to the seaside by the catholic orphanage that houses them.
